Great opportunities have arisen for an Operations Director to join our well-established client on a 6 month contract basis in Swindon, Wiltshire.
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Managing Director and managing and successfully executing the operational functions within the company.
·Responsible for the employment, leadership, and development of Operational teams; including annual objectives; personal development plans and one-to-one discussions.
·Management of the UK Customer Service Manager, ensuring that all customer needs are met in line with company objectives, achieving agreed KPIs and service levels.
·Ensuring customised procedure packs are developed and managed in line with customer needs and company objectives. Providing the desired levels of service to all customers in line with the agreed SLA or KPI targets and maintaining the agreed profit margins. Liaising with all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective communication and continual improvement.
·Management of the UK Distribution Manager, ensuring that all customer needs are met in line with company objectives, achieving agreed KPIs, service levels, and adhering to GDP regulations.
·Management of the Sales & Operational planning function, ensuring that stock is available to supply customer demand within the expected time limits; providing vital information in a timely manner when stock is unavailable. Ensuring that factored products are purchased in line with the sales demand and within financial constraints, through a robust Sales & Operational Planning structure, ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
·Management of the UK Facilities Manager, ensuring that Health & Safety protocols are in place and adhered to, including inducting staff on H&S issues and fire safety procedures; security protocols are in place and adhered to; managing the fleet of company vehicles; managing the maintenance and servicing contracts for all company equipment; ensuring the Swindon site is kept clean, tidy and well maintained; managing the replenishment of consumables to the warehouse area;managing the collection and recycling of waste; managing the collection and delivery of internal and external mail; setting up meeting rooms and eating areas in line with business needs.
·Maintaining up-to-date industry knowledge of supply chain trends, expected constraints and future visions.
·Providing Project Management and project support where required
Key Skills & Experience:
·Previous experience of working as a Head of Operations in a more regulated environment, ideally medicine/ pharmaceutical/ medical devices
·Previous experience of using eProcurement/UDI, Prince 2, ERP systems
·Leads on company standards of excellence, demonstrates personal commitment and addresses standards below that expected of the company
·Responsible for maintaining a professional and harmonious working relationship with all colleagues, customers, clients, agents and third party business partners or representatives of the Company
The working hours are 9:00am-5:00pm Monday to Friday. In order to meet business needs and demands, you may occasionally be required to work hours in excess of your designated schedule. All employees are expected to demonstrate a reasonable level of flexibility to such requests wherever possible.
A competitive salary of £60-£70k/annum is on offer.
