We are currently looking for a Trainee Press Setter to join our well established client in Swindon.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Press Shop team, learning to efficiently run a variety of presses in line with production demands. You will be working to tight daily time frames so that there is a continuous flow of work to the assembly lines.
  • Learn how to set a range of presses.
  • Learn the quality procedures set within the industry.
  • Work to production targets.
  • work closely with the Team Leader and Supervisors in training and maintaining continuous improvements, helping the section grow as a team.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping to make sure all scrap is removed in the correct bins.
  • Ensure information required for tool maintenance and repairs are updated and accurate.
  • Support the Press Shop with the move to the company goal of lean manufacturing.
Skills & Knowledge:
  • Can do attitude when it comes to carrying out a very manual, labor-intensive role.
  • Mechanically minded, looking for a transition into a different industry/company.
  • Willingness to learn about and how to read engineering drawings.
  • Have an interest in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Willingness to learn process rigidness, training and improvement.
  • Good communication skills.

7am – 4pm / Monday – Friday (Overtime available)
