Overview
We are currently looking for an experienced Recycling Plant Fitter/Mechanic to join our client based in Newbury, Berkshire.
Key Responsibilities:
·Inspect and troubleshoot industrials shredders, granulators, conveyor belts and other plant machinery.
·Fixing faults on plant machinery or arranging for replacement to be installed.
·Carrying out inspections on plant machinery.
·Preventative maintenance.
·Welding activities when necessary.
·Check functionality of safety system
·Fitting new parts and making sure equipment is working correctly.
Key Skills & Experience:
·Previous mechanical and electrical experience.
·Experience in repairing mobile plant such as forklift, lorries.
·Background in Lorries (HGV) maintenance or any vehicle maintenance an advantage.
·Experience in repairing any machinery such us conveyor belt, industrial shredders, granulators.
·Basic knowledge of electrical system an advantage.
·Welding skills
·Good problem solving.
·UK driving license

Working hours: Monday to Friday 45 hours- plus Saturday mornings totalling 49 hours per week
Pat rate: £14.50/hour
